We thought for sure we were having a girl so imagine our surprise when out popped Jacob instead!
After 55 hours of labor (some of that early labor pains and two hours of pushing), he joined our family, weighing in at 8 lbs 15.4 oz, right in between his brother and sister's birth weights.
He was 21.5 inches long, 14 inch head circumference. He has dark blonde hair and the sweetest little face. He looks pretty similar to Nathan when he was born.
The best part is that I was able to have a VBAC after 2 c-sections. My body went into labor on its own and he was born only a day after his due date!
More to come!

Labor
I've been in early labor since Wednesday morning. We are now at the hospital hoping to have this baby today. Wouldn't it be great for it to arrive on its due date? Please keep us in your prayers.

Nathan-ism
At the park, another little boy told Nathan he didn't want to play with him. When we got in the car, Nathan asked me why the boy didn't want to play. After all, "him was a boy, too!"
Well, I told him, maybe he was being shy.
"No, him was just a grouch."

What I'm Looking Forward To!
Every six months our church holds a General Conference. Broadcast from Salt Lake City, the Prophet and leaders of the church (men and women) give inspired messages and talks. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings, prayers are said, and the entire church gathers for those two days to listen to the words of God through His chosen servants. Really, it's quite an amazing and faith building experience.
Here's a little video clip you may enjoy.

Recycling Expired Carseats!
As we prepare for this little one to come, I realized that our old infant carrier had expired. Now, there's a lot of debate as to how long carseats actually last. But considering we do live in a very warm climate where the carseats sit in very hot temperatures for long periods of time, I'm going to err on the side of safety and buy a new one.
Besides, with a $50 Amazon gift card, the new infant carrier cost us a grand total of $10.
So now the question was: what to do with the old one? You can't give it away. It's expired. If you just leave it out in your trash, chances are someone will take it and use it. So everyone online was saying that you should rip it apart and then put it in the trash. So it can sit in the landfill? I needed another option.
I checked with the Dallas Recycling facilities and they led me to a place called World Wear Project which collects old clothes, shoes, etc. for donation as well as for breaking down and reusing the materials. They will take the carseat and use the materials for some other purpose. Perfect!
Ladies in the Dallas area - if you are looking for a place to get rid of your old expired carseat, here is the information you'll need:

Progress!
I'm at 36 weeks and the baby is head down - way down! It's a good size already. The sonographer guessed 6 lbs 8 oz.
And I'm already a little dilated! This is a first, having been at 42 weeks with Esther and zero progress. With Nathan there was nothing as of 39 weeks when we had him via c-section.
It may not seem like much to some of you, but the news thrilled me! Since we're trying a VBA2C on this one, every thing that my body can do on its own without induction is vital to success.
Only a few more weeks until we meet our little Adah or Jacob!

Nathan-ism
Me: Nathan, you are my big helper this morning!
Nathan: Yeah, cause Jesus like us be like that.
What a good kid.
