Nathan-ism

I told Nathan yesterday morning that we were going to the chiropractor.

Nathan: You're going to go sing?

Me: Huh?? Oh! Not choir practice. Chiropractor!

It's a Conspiracy!!

Some people have conspiracy theories about the government. I have none. My theories are about my children!

Each of our three children woke me up at least twice (per kid) last night. Jacob was up for over an hour early in the morning. Esther's throat was sore. Nathan wanted to sleep in our bed.

By the time 7 o'clock hit, mommy was a mess!

Seriously, do they do this on purpose? It is not the first time this has happened.

Here's to hoping I can take a nap later!

Esther-ism

Jacob smacked Esther in the face in his excitement this morning.

Esther: Ow! I thought babies are supposed to be pure!

Nathan-ism

Nathan had to go to the bathroom urgently at Home Depot yesterday.

After he tried but didn't go, I asked him how come he didn't have to go now.

All manner of fact-like, he states:

"Things change, Mom."

Scootering and Smiling

The weather has been so warm and it looks like it won't be cooling back down anytime soon. So we have been trying to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Nathan has been getting quite good at scootering on his Christmas gift from Santa. Even Mommy and Daddy have enjoyed borrowing the kids' scooters. We had scooter races in the cul-de-sac on Saturday evening!

Nathan and I decided that the best place to scooter is on the basketball court at the park. It makes for a nice smooth ride!

Four teeth in and another one on the way!

What a handsome kid!

I just bought him these pants and within weeks he is getting too tall for them.

Jacob wants to be cool, too! (You can kind of see my arm in the reflection of the glasses holding his arms down so I could get a picture before he flung them off!)

Jacob in the morning

Jacob's morning exercise routine.
Pull ups on the bed, the rocking chair, the toy shelf, the closet door, the crib. Walking hand over hand along the toy shelf until he finds the most interesting box.

Arm curls with the closet door. Open, shut, open, shut...

Lifting weights...

His final exercises are crunches while Mommy changes his diaper and attempts to clothe him. That's when he finishes up with the 100 yard dash - naked! Sorry, no picture of that. He's too fast!
